We are pleased to report that ILEA Connect 2024 was an absolute hit!
The brainchild of ILEA Member and past Board Member Steve Matthews of Innovation Lighting, the ILEA Connects industry graduate job fair celebrates its third year and had more students than ever.
Held in conjunction with CITT/ICTS Canadian Institute of Theatre Technicians on Monday April 8 on the stage at sponsor venue Laura Muir Theatre at Douglas College, we had a great range of ILEA Member and non-member companies both hiring and providing guiding information to the next generation of industry professionals.
During the event we had over 80 students able to connect with this diverse range of companies from across the theatre, staging and live events industry in Vancouver as well as national companies represented. Following this with a lively attendance across the street at Carlos O'Bryan's for the post-event mixer, we call it a great success!
With huge shoutout to Steve at Innovation for assisting the ILEA team get this event together, we also want to particularly highlight those ILEA members attending on the day! Good show Douglas College, Encore Global, Greenscape Design & Decor, Innovation Lighting, Loungeworks, Proshow Audiovisual, Riggit Services, and Spectra Events!
